Friar Bajon, old man who from his underground laboratory created the fog to help Hirumes and the Lusitanians win the battle of Atoropatene, is a man shrouded in mystery. This deed was very hard on him, and he became haggard and emaciated, incapable to use his powers anymore, and grew old, but he used his powers of recovery to become young again.

His true goal is to free his master, the Snake King Zahak, from his entombment under the Demaband mountains, by breaking the seal of the Holy Sword Ruknabard. This seal can only be broken when a true Heir to the Royal Lineage of Pars takes out the sword from the stone it is in, the burial place of an Ancient Pars King. That is why he pretends to help Hirumes, for he knows his claim to the throne is true, and that he can be easily manipulated into taking out the sword if he is led to believe that it will bring him power, and Pars. Which he does in the "Age of Heroes" OAVs, turning the key to Zahak's prison, only for Zande to throw the Holy Sword, sole means of defense against the evil Snake King, back in the tomb..

His wish is to see this "Second coming". He even prophetizes that the Snake King will arise and after he oppresses the Dynasty of Pars that lives under the sun, he will bring forth a 1000 year reign of terror on the world.

With the help of his 7 disciples, two of which, Gurgan and Sange, are known to Farangis, he intends to destroy both Pars and Lusitania, making the blood flow like a river for his master.
