Narciss stood on the edge of a rocky outcrop overlooking the
nearby Nanue River. The waters of the river slowly waded by, making lazy
trickle noises. A frog splashed out of the water and hopped to Narciss's
side. Narciss chuckled.
_ "Go away you little toad! I came here for solitude, not croakings!"
The frog stared into his eyes and gribbited. Narciss stared back, not to
be ousted from his spot by a frog.
_ "Narciss? Narciss!"
The frog croaked and leapt back into the river.
_ "There you are!"
Alfreedo sat down next to him.
Narciss ignored her.
_ "This river...it would be the perfect place to launch an --"
_ "Master master! Is Alfreedo bothering you? Master?"
Alfreedo quikly grabbed Narciss and give him a huge squeeze, causing him
to gasp. She placed her head on Narciss' shoulder and stuck her tongue out
at Elaam.
_ "Master! Don't tell me..."
Narciss sighed and lightly pushed Alfreedo away.
_ "Please, I want to be alone"
He then hopped across the river on the small stones that formed a bridge.
Elaam and Alfreeo stood there a moment, a bit dumfounded.
_ "This is all your fault you clinging weirdo!"
_ "Everything was fine until you came along! Who invited you?"
_ "If you hadn't tied me up in my tent then I would never have followed
you!"
_ "I wouldn't have tied you up if you hadn't poisoned my food!"
Narciss ignored the sounds of their fight that drifted across
the serene waters.
He had to plan... the fate of everything was in his hands...now, he had
to plan. If the enemy attacked from the west then they could be attacked
from the north, but that depended on their horses...
The noise of Elaam and Alfreedo grew louder. Was that splashing he heard?
And then...silence.
What happened?
Narciss looked toward the other side of the river. Gone, they were gone.
Had they been captured? What happened?
The wind blew in Narciss' hair. Should he call Arislan and Daryoo-
*Snap*
What was that!
SPLOOSH!
Narciss opened his eyes, only to find he was soaked completly with water.
Elaam stood there with Alfreedo, holding an empty bucket.
_ "Heheeheh! Looks like you're all washed up!"
_ "Yes master, you look a bit soggy!"
Narciss looked at them calmly.
Without any hesitation, he grabbed them both and shoved them into the river.
_ "Glubglub! I'm soaked! This is all your fault!"
_ "My fault! This was YOUR idea!"
_ "My idea! Why you bucket head *bonk*!"
Narciss smiled and started walking away.
Before he could get away though, Alfreedo grabbed his leg and yanked him
into
the water with a loud SPLOOSH.
Note: The Nanue is a river of the author's invention, there is no such river in Pars.
